ok.. so rite now damn freaking slack... supa.. cos all admin and stuff... haha.. nothing much to do.. today started to run.. abt 4 rounds at 2.5 mins a round so damn sian... and first time wear smart 4.. at least in army lah.. haha i realise how much NCC has helped me.. wah lao.. realli.. i have the discipline and i noe wat to look for... haha

One thing i must say abt the army is that they use * and / like nothing like that lah.. like water in a water parade.. haha... but i guess when u put a few guys together in an island with no gals.. u get that lah... anyway... wah lao.. the sgt realli love to * and /

one example is my sgt fadhil lah.. haha he damn farnie.. everything also *... one guy couldnt do sit ups.. he look at the guy.. " wat the *.. u damn *er lah.. wat the * u think u *ing doing? better do something abt ur *ing sit ups..."

oh yah.. i wanna say ah.. the platoon is crazy lah! a lot of ppl there are freaking fit!!! i do like 19 pull ups, in sajc is like wah!!! but i see my platoon... a lot can do 20+++ and thats not their peak.. i did 19 was my peak liao... crazy!!!!!

hanging on to a hope that wasnt there to start...

i will be goin to my interview later... i realli dun noe how i can compete with those ppl. i see the past yr's ones... one is a champion chess player... another is a champion fencer... another one won the gold award for outstanding student on Ngee Ann Poly.. and then i look at wat i have achieved... nothing much... in fact, the JC period, i have nothing to show for wat i have done... no award to say i performed outstanding in odac.. and with ppl like hui han and manu... i have nothing to show i did well academically... And this interview... frightens me... if they ask tough qns, i noe i cannot get it... but if they ask too easy qns, others will do better... haiz... i realli dun want to just be another one of those small scholars that SAJC has and can only produce... when u tell ppl u are from hc or rj.. they go woah... but then sa they like..."oh realli ah..." i realli wanna be the one to break this stigma.. but it seems like "li bu chong xin"

I just did my research on DSTA... i realise wat i wrote in my essay was totally what they were looking for... no shit... cos i was bullshitting... i'm not realli interested in preventive and protection technologies... i just felt that it was a very very important part of singapore's development.. i didnt expect to get interviewed... and for some reason, i feel like anyone who completed the application got interviewed lah... so no big deal... now i really headache leh... on one hand i want it... on the other hand, i dun think i will get it... sianz... always these hc ppl rj ppl getting the best of everything.. how do i make some space for myself...

aiyah.. just have to cross my fingers.. and if i dun get it, i guess i will be disappointed lah... but at least, i come out a little more learned... BUAIZ

ok.. i have identified two potential areas of growth and "things that i must noe"...

technology
For the next five yrs, the in-thing will be the cellphone. I forsee (actually everyone foresees) that the cell phone will evolve into a very very powerful tool. i believe that by the H2 of next yr, a phone that is 3G, mp3 capable with 5GB of space with little or no need for a MMC or expandable memory, 3 megapixel camera will become reality... as for the camera in a phone to hit 5-6 megapixel.. i will say it will be a later part of the 5 yrs... i truly believe that by the end of the 5yrs, the phone will realli turn into a credit card system... and this is where the true area of interest lies... phone security will become as important as pc security... and software and hardware upgrades will become big business... ok... thats where the road will head... As for 3G, singapore will begin to hit on it a bit more in 2006 but i think, it will another 4-5 yrs before it will realli take off completely.. the next generation of singaporeans is yet to come.. oh did i mention.. 4G will come out too...

After five yrs, consumer electronics will become major business... consumerism is on a rise.. as our parents' generation begins to fade away, the less conservative and more trying generation will come.. this group.. the 30-40 will have the status and financial capabilities to purchase in vast qty, high end consumner electronics.. like home theatres... plasma tvs.... maybe even hologram visuals...


Finance
the world is basically run by two things.. law and money... so financial is important... accountancy is above them all... must noe...

i am thinking abt this theory of equilibium.. erm.. some nobel prize winner wrote abt it.. erm.. actually its a mathematics paper.. but erm.. i dun noe.. i will think abt it some other time.. a very very long time.. away... NITEZ

happy new yr every one!!! its 2006... i will try to remember that...

Came back this morning from yz's place.. haha it was realli fun... thx u yizhi!!! for the umpteenth time... haha.. Bascially, i jm and eric didnt slp the whole night.. play bridge and tai di until morning.. haha.. damn fun lah.. love card games... mahjong is damn fun too haha..

That reminds me of what i wanna write... my parents basically let me do wat i want... but at the same time, they do control some stuff i do lah.. or rather advise... haha... like they dun let me drink alcohol... but surprisingly, i do it still. i drink at ceremonies, i drink at my uncle's place, i drink with frens... not that i wanna go against them.. but i believe their opinions are not entirely correct.. they are afraid that i will learn bad yah.. but erm.. haha... i think my moral foundations are strong enuff to control wat they fear...

Then today they said somthing i thot was totally baseless... they said that i shldnt mountain climb or rock climb cos its like stupid... mad.. risking ur life to do something that is potentially life threatening... and thats when i see the generation gap that has formed.. the youths now are so much more adventurous and "on"... i dun agree with wat they say lah.. but upfront i just keep quiet... dun wanna pick a fight with them.. so yah... whilke mountain climbing is realli out of the qn for me, i think i will rock climb for many yrs to come...

I think i'm in deep troubel.. haha... i hope the new yr dun start with a bad note.. haha.. wish me luck...NITEZ
